Brings a perfect 3-0 singles and 3-0 doubles career dual match record into his final season as a Stag...he and doubles partner Chris Jazwa are the only three-year letter winners and Harvey Mudd students on the 2005 Stags team...a self-described 'grinder' who thrives on exploiting opponents' weaknesses...loves to practice the seemingly lost art (at least in college tennis) of lobbing...started the Claremont Colleges Tennis Club with Coach Settles in the Fall of 2004, which now has a membership of 75 recreational players from the five Claremont Colleges and Claremont Graduate University...played #1 singles and finished second in league while at Owen J. Roberts HS.

Was one of two Stags in 2004 who earned ITA All-Academic national honors for attaining a minimum 3.5 GPA during the year...also a Barry M. Goldwater Scholar...published in the Institute for Combinatorics and its Applications...was a State Finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship and a candidate for the Marshall Scholarship...will apply for admission to grad schools in the Fall of 2005...a tournament level bowler with a 204 average...also enjoys disc golf and team handball...plays drums in a college jazz improvisation group and for the (shhh) Pomona Pep Band...President of the HMC Bridge Club...hopes to become certified as a tennis instructor so that he can start teaching after graduation...nicknamed 'Mathman'. |
